El motor de velocidad variable serie YCT es un motor de corriente alterna de par constante y regulación de velocidad. A través del deslizamiento del embrague electromagnético, se conecta el motor de accionamiento con el tacogenerador, y generalmente se utiliza junto con controladores de las series JD, TXZ o CTK, formando un sistema de accionamiento de velocidad continua con retroalimentación negativa de velocidad.
